1st appointment with nurse at srh

had their date for their first visit to the nurse, mine is Tuesday 24th

Hi i was not there i have my op just before amy on the 6th december, but wish you all the luck in the world on your journey its a long one but i am sure it will be worth it, u will jump through hoops but its what you have to do...good luck hun x

I had my seminar in Jan 2011, saw nurse in May, got appt to see consultant in Jan 2012 BUT...got a letter this morning saying it was cancelled and my new appt is in May, which is totally pants, I think they keep messing you about to see if they can sicken you off so you change your mind about WLS. Hope you have an faster outcome than me

That's really bad!! I have only ever had appointments moved forward or moved back 1 week.

4 months push back is terrible! If it is testing people it's not good. I would phone up and ask to be fit into an earlier appointment or a cancellation slot x

SNAP the same as me was totally gutted!! this will mean that it will be a year between my nurse appointment and seeing a consultant.

I rang and was told that's the best they can do but I feel absolutely devastated. due to my obesity I am slowly loosing my mobility and was hoping to be looking towards an op date not long after may not just the consultant!!!

Hi guys I never had a consultant app at srh. The only time I met him was at endoscopy so don't lose hope x

i know its hard to have been moved back, dont lose hope. Sunderland's team are fantastic and they are working very hard to get through a never ending list as quickly as possible. Sunderland is one of the most active hospital for wls.

Hopefully you wont end up waiting that long. x
