2 day post surgery

Well feeling pain today but still not too bad, difficulty bending over to pick things off the floor
Still no regrets though, I'm thinking the pain may come out over the weekend
I am dying to have a good cough but dare not

What is the advice they give on coughing?

When I had my gall bladder removed (full on hacksaw jobbie, none of this keyhole stuff so HUGE scar to show for it!) they recommended small frequent coughs, coughing from the top part of the chest - if that makes sense?

Glad to know you're done and on mend, you might be a bit sore for up to week -10days (I was) but thats just because of internal bruising just remember no lifting or overstretching for a few weeks or it can make it worse. Take gentle walks to help loosen muscles and believe me it does help but if you start to feel uncomfortable stop for breather rather than pushing yourself on. If you need to cough grab a plump pillow/cushion and hold it over tummy/upper abdomen to help support it, it still feels uncomfortable but not like everything is gonna pop out.

Yep pillow and cough,it will clear your lungs after the op.
