2 day until operation I have a cough help!!!

hi all,

I'm flying to Prague tomorrow for my surgery on Thursday and yesterday I developed a dry cough! I'm not unwell just have a anoying cough!

Not sure what to do should I call them and let them know? Or fly over as normal and hope for the best?

This has taken so much planning I could bear to have it cancelled!

Any advice would be great thanks xxx

I'm not sure. Is there anything you can take medication wise to soothe it at this point? If you don't have a temperature etc that's a good thing. I'd ring and ask their advice though, your team are the only ones who can actually answer this for you. I know you can't bare the thought of them cancelling but better if they do and you've not flown all the way there surely? I have heard them cancel NHS ops when I've been waiting to go down for other operations in the past but that was when the patient had a very chesty cough and was quite short of breath too.

I would ring them to be on the safe side.

I hope for your sake they don't cancel though x
