Congrats on getting your surgery It all depends on your really how long you will be laid up for. Listen to what your team say obviously but as a rule of thumb listen to what your body tells you. Small steps XX
Hi Tif - Well done on getting your band fitted, it may seem boring being stuck indoors whilst you recover, but give yourself enough time to let your body heal!
In a week or so you should be feeling much better, thats how long it took me to start driving and doing a bit.
They don`t reccomend you go back to work until about a fortnight after surgery. So do take it easy. As Jaqui says listen to your body, and if your overdoing it, you will feel very tired.
Good Luck with your future weight loss; where is it you have to go for your follow up and band fills, is it local to you?
Wishing you all the best hun x
Have a Wonderful Christmas - the worst part is over now x
hi Tif
Welcome to being a bander. You will need to take it easy for a few days but start to do things as soon as you feel OK. Your body will let you know when you have done too much. Everyone has had to change their routinue with the weather so try to think of it like that
Any help you need give a shout and someone will be along to help out and soon you will start to see the benefits
Loads of love

thanks for youre responses - im on 3/4 day and im feeling pretty ok actually. i feel pretty up and down though. Think im just bored. Its snowing out side and i cant go for a walk cause im scared of falling. im still pretty sore. I keep getting panicy about "have i done the right thing" do you all get that?
Hi Tif, I've also been having the 'have I done the right thing' worry, esp when I think that a bands for life, not just for christmas lol. I'm also worrying about what I'm going to be able to eat, being sick etc.
How're you managing the diet?
Hi Tif
I think you will keep questioning your decision especially as we all chose to have this op and it wasnt totally decided for us by doctors etc. All I can say is that I have lost over 4 and a half stones since June 1st and I feel fantastic. Its not an easy ride because you still have to make sensible choices and some people have lots of trouble eating etc. I have only been sick once and that was eating beetroot too fast - a very colourful experience I can tell you!
If you stick to the banding rules you will definitely lose weight and then you will be happy with your decision
Loads of love

Welcome back Tif, it probably does seem boring at the moment but once you recover hun there will be no stopping you, you will soon make up for lost time. Glad all went well for you and wishing you a continued speedy recovery. Big hugs xxx
Tif and Windy pants I am thinking of having a gastric band done in Brussels by Dr Chris De Bruyne, is this the same clinic you are using and if so how did you find it?
