2 week post op bypass newbie

I'm doing really well thank u. I was discharged on the Sunday (surgery was the Thursday) and was re admitted 2 days later with dehydration. Managed to sort that now though! I've slowly started my puréed diet and seem to be managing really well with it although I don't think I can managed 6 meals a day as it says. Only just manage 4. Thing I'm most worried about is I've started tonight to feel what I think is hungry? And I'm petrified I may stretch my pouch?!

Are you fancying foods or feeling actual physical hunger? I'm betting it's head hunger. I couldn't manage 6 meals either in the early stages post op. Just stick to four but keep your fluids up. Keep a drink by you at all times and sip sip sip!!!

Just follow the advice your provider has given you. It's perfectly normal to feel panicky in the first few weeks post op xx

When you say hunger, I had some burning in my stomach, surgeons said it was just acid and to up the antacids.

Not felt hungry or light headed at all

I haven't felt light headed, more tired and lethargic. I don't know if it's cause I'm off work n I'm bored n thinking about food lol

I'm sure you'll get the hang of it and reach a routine. xxx
