20.ml band

Well I have seen other people had it with hospital group but they had 10.ml band so can't understand why mine is 20.would be anything to do with me being a bit lighter at 13 stone 3.but I just don't get it

Mine's a 9 mil. To be honest I have never seen anyone post that they have anything other than 9, 10 or 14 mil.

Are you sure its 20, do you know what type it is?

i would check. 14 tends to be the largest, but if you were smaller you would tend to have the smaller band, although some surgeons only use large regardless

Now reading the .gp letter again it's actually says I was fitted with a small band.inflated by 4.ml left with a 20.ml gastric pouch, whatever that means

It means that your band is anywhere between 9 and 11 mil, you already have a 4 mil fill in it and the banded part of your tum holds around 20 mils :D

Ooo that's interesting, I have never seen anyone's initial pouch size mentioned ...
