Sooooooo..yesterday I was at the pre-op seminar where you decide whether or not you want to have surgery. One of things that was troubling me was whether or not I could still have Gastric Bypass with my Wrap.
So a little bit of background. I had my wrap in Prague with Dr ******* in June of 201*. It worked for a bit and all in all I lost maybe a stone and some. To be honest it was a wrong decision and time for me. I did it at the time I was writing my last exams for my degree, and I also didn't speak or consult anyone. Meaning I didn't speak to my family/friends or my GP. I went ahead with it on a wing and prayer and GUESS WHAT it was a failure/I failed myself.
NOTE: So when they say have some family support please take it seriously.
So I was speaking to Liz the Specialist Nurse and I did tell her about the wrap surgery. She was great by the way. She told me that if I was approved, Dr Patel would consider both and only when I am under the knife only then would he decide if it should be Bypass or Sleeve.
I hope I can put on my forehead...Bypass Bypass Bypass...
Will keep you informed...
