Post-op Gastric Bypass
Wow it seems a long time but that's what I've been told. Not sure I've seen anyone else on the forum who had to do it for so long. Either way it's a bonus as will lose more weight and be safer for my surgery :)

Wow that does seem a long time, hope I don't have to do that :(

Wow that is a long time!!! I had to do 4 weeks as part of the referral process then another 2 weeks pre op!
Where are you having the op? X

Just saw you are in West Mids the same as me I will deffo try and avoid where ever it is you're going :D

I may be wrong (and often am :-D ) but don't Luton & Dunstable also do a long pre-op for some patients?

The tip I boringly trot out over and over again to get through the pre-op diet is to find websites with glorious skinny clothes on and regularly dip in for a reminder of what you could have.

The other one I have used in the past (for self confidence mind, not this) is the Post It notes all around the house - not just on the fridge. With things like 'I'm worth it', 'I Can Do It', etc written on to give you a boost if you begin to struggle xx

Aww thanks lincs lass, sounds good to me. I can really see the light at the end of the tunnel now, I can't wait for my new life!!! Xxx

I live in Quinton, atm I'm researching where to go for my bypass as I'm doing it priv

Dolan park?? That comes up a lot not sure where that is tho :) I've not lived here long

ooo grim, but so worth it in the end.

It's so mad how different the providers guidelines are... you'd think we're all having different ops!!! Good luck with the pre-op & just focus on the fact that it'll be not long, in the scheme of things, until you're on the losers bench :) xx

I'm Dolan park on 13/8 and had to do 4+ weeks pre op. now only 2weeks to go.... Almost touching distance.
Long hard slog and I wish you well xxxx
