6 weeks post op and still in pain

I'm 6 weeks post bypass tomorrow and am still getting quite a bad pain every now and then on my left hand side near to one of my incisions.

I have my 6 week check tomorrow but wondered if anyone else was still in pain this far out? It might because I have started doing household things again like emptying the dishwasher etc.

I'm 3 weeks out and I'm still getting pain around my largest port wound. I think I also have some nerve damage around it too, as I have a large numb spot in the same area, which is quite hypersensitive to pain.

Don't worry Kay, you probably won't have any problems at all

Could it be trapped gasses still from your op? I had bad trapped gas (for any pre-oppers they pump it into you during op to help move 'bits' about). Try I cup of peppermint tea. I personally found it disgusting but it worked! I was willing to try anything! My pain was always in left side too and by my ribs.
