Hi and welcome I had first appointment in December at walsall manor then had my second appointment in April to see mr kendrick he's a psychologist he was straight to point person but as long you know what to expect and understand its only a tool You should be fine I told him what he wanted to hear so he put me on waiting list on the 1 st of April 2011 and had my funding a week later I expect to be done around Christmas I hope so. do your research just show him your aware of what going to happen .where do you live . . and welcome plus search Walsall massive on this site there a lot of us different experiences .what are having band bypass or sleeve .I'm having bypass .good luck and welcome

Hi Ibbi, i had my bypass at Walsall Manor just over 13 months ago. The surgical team are awesome, the aneasthetist is great, the nursing staff post op are legendary, the admin suck big time

There is a Walsall Manor support group, Tesmerelda or Sambucca (both moderators on here) can both give you details of it. There is also a facebook group for us Walsall Massive patients but you need to be invited onto that as it is private so that people you don't want to know your business won't see it on your page

Thank you all guys for your warm welcome and for useful tips.:thankyou: I'm really sorry for being this late but Im too busy these days. Just wanted to update you guys: Im having gastric bypass and don't have to go through the Weight Management Program:bliss:but not yet an op. date.
I wish I could tell you more abt. that app. hopefully next time. Bye 4 now xxx
