I think with alot of people if your period hasnt started when you go into hospital it will have by the time you leave.....I did ask why and its something to do with the trauma your body has gone through, all my body hair fell out also i had the skin of an 11 year old lol x

I had my period while in hosp 3 days after op i wasnt to happy lol havin to deal with that aswell hahahaha but yeh they will do it if you are on lin.x

i was on when i went in for the op, and by the time i was home i wasnt, i guess the shock stopped it... so it works both ways.

i now have the implant and i was bleeding for weeks at a time, but now i havent had a totm since feb, which im told is normal with the implant, but my hormones are all over the sodding shop... anyone got any chocolate? *moan moan* lol

i know what you mean i dont like the implant very much lol i was on for 3 weeks non stop i havnt seen it for weeks now i got a funny feeling i will right on the op date lol dont talk to me about chocolate im so going to miss it o well xxx

I came on the night before my op! I had to deal with the laxatives AND my TOTM's, i'm soooooo glad i'm post-op! xxx

I was on when I had my op, the nurses just whip on a new towel for you, its no big deal to them, don't be embarrased by it.

I was on the day i went in, but by time i left the hospital i was off lol, i also have the implant and have the odd days on and then im off... this is my 2nd implant lol xx

Trust me, by the time your in recovery you wont give a hoot who knows its your totm! i felt so rough i just didnt care who knew what and saw what lol
I was in pain, but also you feel so groggy from the op and numb that you just dont care, i used the commode while in the high dependancy unit and it took me about 20 mins to do a wee cos i was numb and people were moving around behinde my curtain putting me off lol, but the lovely nurse got me a new pad from my bag and put it on my nickers for me... so all she saw was my kecks! my heart moniter was going off about ever 20 mins (which kept me from sleep and prolly annoyed the other two ladies who had their op too) so i was awake a lot, and the lady in the bay next to me must have used the commode about 20 times, poor luv!

I had an issue during my op with my heart so i needed that checking so more than a few people got a look at my boobs and huge bloated tummy, they didnt bat an eyelid and i was way beyond caring lol


You have nothing they havent seen before lovely!

i too have the implant. i had no sign of it being that time of the month until i got home from hospital and im still on 7 weeks later. im putting it down to the trauma

I was due on the week before I went in...was glad it was going to be over but of course it didn't come on time (for the 1st time in my life!). Thought it was the stress and worry. Anyway, I ended up coming on in hospital a couple of days after the op. Was a nightmare to handle with everything else but I managed...and you will too if it happens.

I hadn't had a period for 3 years as I had the coil fitted...6 days post op and I had one, 2 years later and a new coil and im still having them
