i cant stand this diet, i am so hungry, 4 weeks is so long

Why do you have to do it for 4 weeks ? I thought it was only two. Or is every pct different ?
if ur bmi is over 50 or if u are over 30 st u have to do it for 4 wks

Think every PCT must be different, Northern General in Sheffield have a strict milk/yogurt diet for 10 days

Yes, my BMI was 65 and I only had to do 2 weeks. 4 weeks would be very hard. I had 1 cup-a-soup and 2 slices of toast on some days just to be able to cope with it and I still had a good pre op loss.
It's hard but try and stick with it ;)

It will so be worth it thought!

Luton and Dunstable make everyone go on a milk diet for 4 weeks to loose 5% to show willing and capability of surviving on a liquid diet.
Only then do they put you forward to meet the surgeon.
Then you have to do it 2 weeks before the op to shrink your liver.

I had a BMI of 39 at the start of my pre op. but had to do 4 weeks. Everybody at Heartlands does 2-6 weeks. But they tell most 4 weeks and some poor people do the six. Some who got cancelled have done the 6 weeks twice!!!

It is hard, but it's so important to stick to it. Those who cheat on the pre op and get away with it are just lucky. There are some who don't get away with it. So it's not worth it.

Good luck!! You can do it!! X

4 weeks is tough going but you can do it. I'm so lucky I only have to do 2 weeks, if it was 4 I think I'd struggle but only because it's sounds long in your head. Your body can do it. Keep at it :) x
