Just wondering if anyone uses Adios or suchlikes to help boost their weightloss?

No Emm, and to be honest when I resorted to WLS after a life time of all the diets, pills and potions under the sun I vowed never to take any miracle cure pill again.

Hope I dont offend, but just my opinion hun. I dont think these type of pills help you lose anything apart from £'s.

thanks hun, Just gathering peoples thoughts etc x

I will be honest too...

I think you need to look at what you are doing now rather than look for a route like this.

My weightloss is also slow, always has been and for some it is that way. My surgeon has done tests, I am completely normal and there is no medical reason why my loss is slow. But he told me I am not alone, some people just go slow and steady and that in reality for some with a band the weight can take3-5 years to come off.

I don't mind, took me 25 years to become a lump. if delumping took 5 years and stayed off I will be happy :)

I agree with Sam completely, especially at the beginning of your journey! I know our provider will prescribe something if people are struggling with the last few stone or have plateaud for quite some time and looks like no sign of moving....

I know you feel like your weight isn't going as quick as you would like and i understand and empathise with you completely. But try and look at it Caz's way and also this way, especially being a bander... Your weight loss may be slow but this way you have a better chance of it staying off and also the excess skin may not be as bad either....

Just my thoughts x

Thanks Caz, im doing the "right" eating amounts now, 3 meals a day plus fresh snacks and fluid.
The surgeon told me a band dont always work for everyone and by heck am thinking thats me at the mo, I just cant seem to get past the 19st mark, It feels like the failure mark if that makes scence.
Im back at Hosp for a check up in September, I know they will be "unhappy" with my little weightloss, yet clothes are still getting looser ... aagghhhhh

X

dont be too despondent Em. As long as you are sticking to the bandsters rules, the weight will come off. Like Caz said, maybe you will be a slow loser, but many banders (not all before I get lynched!) have a slow start as they learn to cope with restriction and to get the restriction right.

How many ml have you got in now? Do you feel you would benefit from another fill?

Thanks hun, i have 6.5ml in a 14ml band,

I can eat very small amount before im full... Approx 5 dessert spoons ........

hey em, your doing fine hunni!! i wouldnt use those pills you said as there a waste of money hun your losing inchs dont forget that, tho i do know when the scales dont move its very dis pondant keep up your hard work! your doing fab xx

Cheers me dears xxx

I would take some measurements hun you may be losing inches, steer clear of the scales for a few weeks if you can. Also take in to consideration your height and frame. I agree with the other posts don't be tempted into buying pills. Your weight will come down if you are only eating 5 spoonfuls of food. You have only just started following the diet 100% (hope i haven't mixed u up with anyone.) Think of it as your first week your body is fighting to keep hold of the fat, but eventually it has got to let it go (it loses the fight.) Good luck hun, keep with it, it will be worth it xxx
