Advice please !

Hi all, had a bypass over a year ago. At my last meeting at the hospital ( Walsall Manor ) they mention skin removal, but I had to get down to a certain weight. I'm 1 stone off target ( yeah !! ) but I'm hearing rummers that the funding is running out or stopped. Is this true ? Or does anyone know who I can contact to find out.

I have just had a tummy tuck
I am under Sandwell.
Best people to ask are your Gp or Dr Hartland when you go for a check up.
You could even phone the PCT yourself and ask for the criteria.

You can also try checking the NICE website. It should list the referral criteria for your PCT on there too

Can you get referred for tummy tuck if you have your GB privately?

I don't think it matters if your band was private or NHS. General rule of thumb is TT is seen as cosmetic and you can only get a referral if your loose skin is causing you medical problems and infections. Even then it's rare.
