Hiya! I'm being banded 7th oct and have to have 2 weeks fluid can someone tell me what they have? Can I have heinz chicken/tomato soup? Yogurts etc? Want to get everything sorted before I go in thank you Kel xx

Hi Hunnie it's in you booklet you got xx

What your saying is after op.... It's just milk and yogurts the one before I think xxxx

I had slimfast, ww tomato soup, sieved ww chicken soup, smoothies, activia pouring yogurt. Milky coffee and hot chocolate.

I was banded with THG x

Post op for my 2 weeks fluid, I struggled with soup cos it made me physically blegh (Im not a fan!)

So for me it was yoghurt without lumps thinned down to a consistency that goes up a straw,
skimmed milk
juice, fruit or veg but no lumps, bits or skins
~

Other things it suggested from my provider was
~ protein shakes
~ soya milk with added calcium
~ thinned soups with bits removed
~ actimel
~ vie or thin smoothie drinks
~ low cal hot chocolate, ovaltine, horlicks
~ oxo bovril or marmite with water
~ unlimited NAS squash, tea and coffee

I'm really thick didn't read the title lol

Yeah I'm having Heinz soups ..anything you can get through a straw,,, no bits and your not allowed to actually use a straw to much air xx

yes what you're feeling is normal and it can take a while to get the pain to ease, it does get better but take your time with your fluids (I had to go back to clear fluids about 5 days post op because the rest were a bit much) if you have any concerns always call your provider and speak to them :)
