Now i've been able to take those darn stockings off. my legs feel so much better. The only part of me hurting now is the top half of my torso.

are you putting them back on as its only a few days post yr surgery? We were told even for band op to wear them for 10-14 days post op . . .

I was told 2 days. Wish everyone was told the same blooming thing. Would make it easier.

wow, at first they told me 14 days, but I said I was returning to work after 10, so they said 10 days were fine, but to remove them for 30 mins each day when showering to have a break.

I had mine on for just over 24 hours and was told this was ok?? I had the same surgeon as you mummy!!!
xx

I was told by Alice to wear them for 2 days, but only after i asked. I also had to ask when i could have a bath because they didnt tell me. Pre op i was told i would not have a fill til 6 weeks after and i've come out of the op already with a 3ml fill. Not sure where i stand tbh.

Aww I know, its a shame we're not told the same thing! I was told I could shower after a few days but not to soak the glue. I was told at my consultation that I would have a small fill, some providers do and some dont. At least we've got a head start with restriction!!
Hope you are feeling ok
xx

I had a bypass and was told 6 weeks wearing the very sexy dark green stockings!
They kept rolling down at night and making my legs ache all through the next day so I've given up on them, I'm a lot more active now so I should think I'll be fine.

Mine kept falling down in hospital, the intensive care nurse said not to bother wearing them if they kept rolling down

The stockings are to prevent clots, just like the injections. You need to wear them in hospital because you are far less mobile. If you are up and about as usual at home (you don't have to be walking miles or running marathons) and you are following medical advice you have been given you should be fine. It is a scary time being home after surgery, your imagination can run riot. Focus on healing, keep moving and you will be recovered in no time x
