Alcohol and Bypass

I feel dreadful for even asking this, but when did you bypass patients start having a tipple after your op? I'm 6 weeks post op and have just started snaffling a few vodka and oranges; am I really bad and will I go to hell?!:copon:
I'm interested to know other peoples views on bypass and booze!

Eveyone seems to have been told different things. My hospital have said 12 months. See what others have said there is a thread for this, also FAQ thread which is being developed as we post!!

Just remember how many calories there are in "a drink", and there rubbish calories at that.

i had my bypass on 24th january 2009 and i've had a couple of boozy nights out and now and again partake in a glass of wine. I've been fine with it but i don't drink anything like the amounts i used to pre-op x x x
