Had my bypass on Tuesday night after waiting all day to be taken down, feeling pretty yucky at the min as have had to sit in a waiting room chair for 4 hours waiting for them to give me my prescriptions!! Am relaxed on the sofa now with my wonderful hubby at beck and call. Will do a better post when I am feeling a bit better xxx

now your journey begins ;)

Glad to hear you are home and being pampered by your husband. Make sure you take it easy and don't do too much. I can't believe you are home in less than 48 hours, its just amazing isn't it?

Good luck with your weight loss journey :) Exciting times ahead :)

I am feeling decidedly better today, yesterday was just awful, they needed my bed which is fair enough but they sent me to discharge lounge and I was sat there in a chair for almost 4 hours waiting for my prescriptions before I could go home,I have arthritis in my back and also broke my coxix 2 years ago so besides the general op discomfort I had my back to deal with and was in a right sorry state by the time I got home.

Not feeling much discomfort from my op sites and I am doing my best to get my liquids in, only thing I am struggling with is finding something hot and savoury to have, am not much of a soup person and have tried about 4 flavours so far, guess it's trial and error :)

Poor you!! Were they able to give you any pain relief in the waiting room? Must have been so very uncomfortable!! Glad you're feeling better today. Just remember to take plenty of rest and lots of water xxxxx

They had to take all my regular pain killers off me due to them not being suitable so all I had from morning till when I got home was I dose of dissolvable paracetemol and I dose of paediatric ibuprofen, but because of how much pain I was in they had prescribed me liquid morphine which I am to take for the next few days and if required over next 2 weeks until I am allowed tablets again. Have had 3 doses since I got home as I don't want to take too much but it has helped take the edge off, from experience the pain will settle in a few days anyway :) xxx
