Am I being stupid???

if anyone has read my other post you would see I'm at the VERY start of my journey.
My problem is my bmi is high ( 45 ) and I'm only short which I don't think helps matters!.
any way at the end of the month I'm going to London for the weekend with my family and I'm embarrassed to admit that after walking a short distance I'm in serious pain -:confused:feet,knees, back and static pain from my bum down to calf.
Also I sweat like made and tire easy.
I really don't want to ruin this for my children and reading through post on this forum the pre op lsd seem to really give a big weight loss so I'm contemplating doing this for two weeks in the hope to shed some much need pounds before my trip.
Living on milk alone will be no problem for me, I have done vlcd diets before but just hated the taste and gave up because of this ,this is way easier for me then eatting healthly .
Food is my drug and I do better when avoiding it if that makes sense . Please don't judge I'm just desperate !

Give it a go if its only for 2 weeks its do-able, I lost 21lbs in 13 days on my pre-op diet and it'll show you whats to come, good luck x

As your at the very start of this I would say try it , try the low calorie one as it is "food" and I found it easy to do for my 4 weeks I wouldnt be saying this if you were much further along in this process do remember everyone weight lose is different and the reason for the LSD is to reduce the size of the liver, the weight lose is a bonus
good luck

Are you sure you're short? Your profile on the left says you're 34 feet tall!

You're not being stupid and you perhaps need to not think in terms of ruining things for people. You are who you are, and you are where you are right now. I've been there and I understand - I was 330lbs at my highest (think that was 47 on the bmi) and it's hard to be in pain, sweating, and tired. But it's as much for family to adjust as you.

I have done vlcds. I lost 11st on one once. I lost 17lbs in my 2 week pre op doing Slim and Save vlcd. So it's doable. But question is, did you get a boost of energy once ketosis kicked in? I never did, meaning after 2 weeks, I was burnt out in terms of energy. I did it for 7 months once and never got a boost of energy. I was knackered the whole time.

I never got the perks of slim and save or lipotrim, i.e no hunger and increased energy either. Which is why I could never stick to it for more than a few months at a time.

As others have said above there's no harm in giving it a go :) I think we've all tried something short term when something was coming up on the calendar just to get a quick few lb's off.... if it makes you feel happier and puts a huge smile on your face GO FOR IT ;) also as someone else above mentioned just be aware of the tiredness it brings with it...as long as your prepared

I, like Los did the food version and lost well over a stone in 2 weeks so it can be done....

Good luck....and enjoy your weekend away with the family x x x x

Thank you lovely people.
I've bitten the bullet and have gone for it !
To be honest today has been a breeze and I can feel a ketosis headache coming on ( never takes more then two days for this ,I guess that's a plus) I've been out all day searching for Shaun the sheeps around bristol - to be fare a whole lot of this was driving sheep to sheep so not loads of walking really but still I managed it , even took a pint of milk with me on my travels lol .
I've had four pints of milk and two litres of water and am feel optimistic . Only worry is its been three weeks since talking to my gp and I still haven't had anything in the post which does worry me a tad.
