Anaesthetist appointment

Hi guys, got pre op 24th and anaesthetist on the 30th. Can anyone tell me what happens during the anaesthetist appointment please?

I can only talk from my experience at Derby, and I saw him just at the initial appointment.

He asked questions about any operations I'd had before; any problems, how I'd recovered etc; any day to day health problems; allergies; any crowns etc etc

He then talked about his role in the op, checked my 'puff' levels (aspiration?), breathing exercises for after the op, and also how people's mindset and optimism also aids recovery

mine went thru previous ops any probs and asked me to open wide so he could check my throat and that was it
