Another fill

Hi everyone.

Been for another fill today and hoping this gets me some where near my 'sweet spot'.

I explained to the nurse my meal sizes are fine. Small tea plate, eat for 20 mins then stop, not clearing a full pleate most of the time. But hungry after about 3 hours and sometimes making the wrong choices. Especially wine!!

Still happy with my weight loss so far and hoping I can reach 100lb loss by end of August this year.

Where are you now wobbly in terms of your fills? it says in your sig 9.25ml, is that in a 14ml band?

I had a fill over 2 weeks ago now, taking me to 9mls and was talking to the nurse who was saying average restriction is felt on a 14ml band between 9 and 10.5mls, so hopefully you will hit that spot.

Im actually finding that Im having to completely change what I eat, all of the protein sources I was eating up to my most recent fill, I now can't eat . . .struggle with chicken, fish, prawns, I also now struggling with lots of things such as cabbage (green veg in general) and waiting to see if it will settle down, as the hunger feelings havent eased, but the ability to eat variety of food has . . .

Bizarre how very small amounts can have such an affect . . .

Hiya Kat

Ye I have a 14 ml band. She is gonna do 0.25 ml at a time from now on till I get where I need to be x x

You are doing absolutely amazing x

So are you indeed :)

Do you have far to go for your fills? Mines a 2 hour round trip and seems such a long way to go for .25mls LOL

However, Im finding that eating has changed dramatically and while they said to go back at 4 weeks that would be next week, Im not digesting food very well past the band so am gonna put it off . . .

Its a very fine line, I've had no restriction since I've had the band, and now its there in terms of what food I can eat or what happens when I eat certain foods, it takes a lot of adjusting . . .take it easy as you venture forward . . .I was fine on liquids, fine on mash, big change on normal food . . .

Thanks Kat will do.

On mush today and feeling full so fingers crossed not much more needed. Looking forward to crunchy and back to normal tomorrow, see how I go.

I have a long journey I do it by train. It's prob a 2 hour round journey if I drove but morning traffic in Newcastle is murder. I get a train at 8 am normally for a 9.30 appointment and get back in town for 11.30 x x

Will take it easy with solids tomorrow and hope I am ok, especially with my fish, I eat a load x x
