Hi everyone,
My name is Kat and I live in Gloucestershire. I have been considering wls for 5+ years now, but a severe fear of anaesthetic has been the biggest barrier I have faced.
I am now however at my heaviest and largest size and a recent trip abroad with my son just made it all really hit home. As such, I came back, booked a consultation which I had a couple of weeks ago, and my surgery for gastric band is booked for 23rd August.
so, 18 days.
Needless to say, as a single mum, and my fear of anaesthetic, my biggest fear is not waking up afterwards, but Im just about to embark on the pre-op diet, although I haven't been given that much info.
It is nice to have found somewhere, where people will understand and who wont make judgements about the decision I've made (something I've experienced on other forums!)
