Another sad story

Yes that is so sad poor woman only 49 RIP

Jay xx

How sad. You don't know what to say when you read things like this do you. I wish her family all the best and hope she rests in peace.

this is really sad but i also have to say and i might get my head bitten off!, that the press never write about the good side of wls obviously not as news worthy ! or about the lives and health of people who have been saved by it xxh

very sad story yes, this shows the reality of the risks and that they are there, but also this is in the minority of cases, my thoughts are with the loved ones and freinds thats been left behind .

It is tragic and my heart goes out to her family - but was she only 16 stone? Did she have it done privately then? How short would she have had to be for a BMI high enough at 16 stone for the NHS to operate?

this is so sad that poor women her poor family all she wanted was a chance of a decent life may she rest in peace.xx

That is so sad.

It is very very sad. She was still young and had a lot of living yet to do. My heart goes out to her poor family.
But we mustn't let these cases spook us pre-oppers too much. When I heard about the young chap in leeds a few months ago I went through quite a depressed stage for a while and then, gradually, I thought of all the life-threatening things I do - driving for one. Be sad, yes, but don't let it put you off this, usually, life-enhancing operation. :grouphugg: Mxx

May she R.I.P - we mustn't however forget that even if she had only had the hernia repaired (without having the band fitted ) due to her blood disorder i.e. in that the coroner found the blood did not clot properly -the outcome may sadly have still not been favourable - :-(

Yes, really sad for her read it yesterday.
Condolscences to her family and friends.
We do only hear the bad news in the media and press and thats the way it always is....

This is awful :(

xxx

Sad news but its a risk we all take. I can't understand why they did the op if they new she had problems with her blood not clotting properly. I would have thought they'd have sorted that out before operating. May she rest in peace and my sympathy goes out to her family and friendsx
