I am reaching the end of the pureed food stage, and have found my weight loss seems to have come to a hopefully temporary standstill, in the liquid stage I lost 13lbs, but since then only a furthe 3lbs, and am a bit worried that when I return to normal foods it will slow down even more. I have my first fill next week and I am hoping this will help to make a difference. Have any of you fellow banders had similar results?

I expect you're not eating enough, your body will start storing. I think when you start eating more calories, and plenty of water, your loss will pick up again. How many cals are you hving now? x

To be honest I havent been doing an exact count, but I would guess between 500-800 a day and due to the nature of my work I have forgotten to eat a few times over the last week, perhaps that may be part of it.

Yep I stalled early on as I wasn't eating enough ... Don't worry it's early days! Your body is adjusting. Follow your providers guidance and the weight loss will follow :D

maybe start using MyFitnessPal, it records everything you eat, works out all your calories and protein etc, do you eat much protein? x

When I saw my nurse from HW before leaving the hospital yesterday, she said to me to remember that when I go on the pureed/mashed stage to do always think protein first, vegetables second and carbs third. In terms of rather than turning to mashed potato, to use mashed fish with perhaps mashed carrots or other veg, and to leave the carbs as an extra if still needed.

Caren is right - as she so often is - wise old one is that Caren! Ok less of the old I hear her shout!

I remember back to that stage - it feels so disappointing to think you are hardly eating anything yet the pounds are not "falling off" - it will catch up thought I am sure. xx
