any bypassers on quitiapin or simular?

are there any bypassers on quitiapin or simular drugs that cause weight gain ? if so did you still loose weight with the bypass . im banded but cant control the weightgain from the meds with my band and am hoping to convert to bypass , just wondering if anyone else has experience of this

im not on them meds but on similar ones with weight gain as side affects im waiting for my date for a bypass but the consultants said that i should still lose weight

I'm no expert but you might find with a bypass that your meds would be changed due to the malabsorption. Certainly something to check with the surgeon when you go and see them anyway!

I've had a bypass and I take meds that can cause weight gain. I haven't had any problems post op losing weight. As previously said, your medication may change post bypass anyway
