Any experience of Taunton?

I'm hoping that after my final hospital appt at the end of Feb that I get funded and referred to Taunton Musgrove Park.

Anyone got any experiences of what it's like there and how long the waiting lists are?

Hi I'm currently trying to get funding was told they only do 51 a year and the keep so meny for the end of the year. If ur all good to go then when the new funding starts in April it shouldn't b long he told me it had to b within 16weeks of the ok. Nice to find someone who's at the same hosp!

I was supposed to hear about the funding a couple of weeks ago but the meeting got cancelled and its now scheduled again for 27th March so no doubt wont hear anything until after easter. How far through the process are you?

Hi well I c dr Andrews on the 18th of April and I will find out if I've lost enough weight as needed to lose me 10% rubbish! Haha so hopefully he will put me foreword for a decision as I've done everything he's asked of me all the groups ect. Have u done ur 10% ect????

It's only 5% now so yes I have managed that. Have you been to the BOSPA meeting?

R lucky I still gota do the 10% um is that one of those meeting where u meet People wonting surgery and that have had it?? If so yeh I went to one. If not then I don't think so haha

My doctor has today just referred me to Taunton. can any of you tell me what I should expect. What the procedure is? How long it takes etc.

Hi I'm at Taunton I had to do a sleep test for sleep apnea do a binge/weight management corse see diation and phycoligyst plus lose 10% of body weight to show commitment and attend meeting with ppl who have had/wonting surgery so a few hoops to jump though. hope I've helped. X
