waiting for me surgery date from SRH - should be after 20th May... i was referred 31st dec 2009. Had seminar feb 2010, 1st apt with dietician june, then 2nd apt with mr Shroeder (spelt?) sept 2009. endoscopy and put on the waiting list 2nd november 2009.

I am from North Yorkshire but our GP`s send us to Sunderland.

im not sure which hospital i would be getting surgery at if im accepted......the seminar i will be going to is held at Rake Lane in North shields north tyneside so im assuming you get the op at the same hospital as the seminar no matter what area you are in?

im from darlington im sure u get it done in sunderland if u from newcastle as there was a few girls having it done with me from nc i had gastric bypass 1 week ago x

ohhhhhhh so its not in the same 1 as the seminar.....i can get to sunderland aswell and its not much further than the seminar hospital...thanks for info .....

hi eaglescliffe so a little further then some, i am waiting a second appointment (which i have just been told will be the 22nd june). this is because i did not get to the weight they asked iam on track now tho thank god. i will be put on the waiting list when i go next in june i have been seeing mr sholer? as well i would have thought it would be sunderland wenco as i think its the only one in the area that does barietric surgey.
I was lucky to get another chance and i was onlt 2lb off what they wanted me to be i would have been gutted if i had lost it all for the sake of 2lb, was my own fault tho pigged out at christmas.

awwww never...i think thats a little unfair for the sake of 2lb after all the effort you had put in to lose close to the required amount....how far away or over goal are you this time?

I am 2lb off this time 16stone 9 pounds now and need to be 16st 7lb by the time i go back in 8 weeks. think i have done it this time will be under i hope, i could have:cry: last time it was horrible. xx

i think uve def done it!!!!!! 2lb in 8 weeks is more than do-able....well done!!!!
go there n tell that surgeon to while hes doing the op!!!!!!! lol

Hi I'm under north Tyneside too, if you have the seminar their sounds like your referred their mr woodcock is lovely you will have no problems. Next appointment is with the nurse at wallsend, and surgery will be at north Tyneside. Hopes this helps x x x

did you also have to do an 8week weight management course? how long has your process been?
i start the diet and fitness class tomorrow and my doctor sent referal to mr woodcock last week so unsure on the timescale im possibly looking at....have you got your date yet?

Hi I'm still quite early in process I completed management course about 2 months ago it was a byker. Then only took about 2 weeks to get my referral for the seminar. You might have attended your seminar before you finish your weight management as doctor has already sent off referral so much quicker process, appointment for nurse came 1 week after seminar for September so 6 months wait. It will fly buy I hope lol. So hopefully no more in September. Their is another person called Louise on here who is just a few weeks behind me aswell yay we might have a little group as it sounds like more people are being referred to ntgh. Good to here from you please keep u's updated x x x
