Mazza and I are being "done" by the same company....I had mine done last saterday in London by the Weight Loss Surgery Group (£6995) and just cant tell you enough how good I believe they are.
As for post-op support....thats why I went with The Weigh Loss Surgery Group....they are not the cheapest but the care i got pre-op-during my surgery-and so far post op has been brilliant....within my price I get 2 years full aftercare including unlimited fills and defills as required (and done by the famous Wendy:D)

they also provide aftercare for other surgery providers and you can by just after care packages for a year that cover all your fills etc.

I cant recommend them strongly enough....I had my surgery in London and my surgeon Professor Nadey Hakim (35th World President of the International College of Surgeons) he is a very experienced gastric surgeon (12 bands in march 2009 alone) and world renowned transplant surgeon....I felt so so safe in his hands and he was so patient with me and took time to talk before surgery...while I was in recovery he came and spent 20 minutes talking to my hubby to tell him exactly how well it had gone and to put his mind at ease. then came back in the morning (Sunday) to chat to me about my surgery and check me over. Surgery in London is an option just as much as the north and they are such great people :D

ps also no consultation fee

aww brilliant! how are you feeling now? how long you been thinking of having it done before you went ahead? wish I had taken the plunge earlier and would love to be in your position now,all over! good luck with ur weight loss. It is great to talk to people who can give me such good advice! julie x

Not feeling bad at all to be honest I posted just now here
http://www.minimins.com/surgical-weight-loss/87246-considering-lap-band-surgery.html
about some other things another lady asked about post op pre-op stuff

I don't think I was in the right place before emotionally to do this as this is something I am really doing for me and not for anyone else and I believe thats very important. I researched it one and off for around a year before I went for it and to me the surgeon was very very important and then the post-op support package as to me that was a make or break thing.
IF you do go with it I will be here and so will many others to support you right the way through... xx

Julie

Have just checked my pack and they operate at Preston, Sheffield, London, Southampton, Glasgow and Belguim Consultation and aftercare locations are as above but plus Cardiff, Birmingham and Leeds So if you chose them you may have to travel for your op but evrything else can be done at Cardiff.

Good luck, oh and Wanda and I are not on commission but maybe we should be lol x
