i am looking for info on what will happen step by step. as going in for first appointment on friday the 9th jan and have no idea what is going to happen . just want to be clued up . if you know what i mean .

Hi Shelly, as you know i was in yesterday at the same hospital you are going to. Can i be real cheeky and ask what grounds you are going in for if you know what i mean?
I will give a quick overview of me but my story is slightly different from others but all advise and others stories have helped me lots.
Basically after 3 children, getting very large and loosing it quick i am left with an awful huge overhang and damaged muscles. Whilst carrying baby no' 1 grew large and tore tummy muscles which wasnt picked up until carrying baby no'2. Had physio and wore supports during this time and then had physio after to try and fix muscles. Carrying baby 3 had same probs again and had grown even bigger so went through the same routine again. After baby 3 had huge overhang, muscles dome outwards and nothing i can do will get them back, big gap between muscles which then caused a hernia and repaired about 4 months ago. So all in all for me is a mass of excess skin and no muscles supporting the trunk of my body!!
So in clinic yest, got weighed and mesured, loads of questions asked about weight loss, how my op was done and general health, examined my stomach, had to do a few things to contract my muscles in different positions, had all excess skin pulled down from every angle. Told they cant do it without special funding which i need to go back to my gp to be put forward to the pct, will then be in their hands whether or not the nhs will pay for it. well i have had 4 baby's and when i was 17 i found out i was pg and is was size 6 and went to a size 26 that was my bigest .as he was 9ld 7oz and then i had three baby's clost together and i have got losse skin and cause i got so bit my skin has gone thin and i keep hurting/cutting my skin every time i do somthing and my cloth's cut in and when i huge my hubby he end's up laying on it and that really hurt's and my kid's keep pulling at it and when the sit on me thsy catch it with any thing they have got and god it hurt's . i do have pic's on what my belly look's like .thing is i hav had this since i was 18 and now 25 so it is not so i can look good if ya know what i mean .just want to stop catching it . oh and can't wait till tomorrow.lol i hope it all go's well as need some good luck on my side lol.

hi there had my appointment today and the ps said that he has to send a letter to the pct and that the only two this that would make them say no would be if i did not stop smoking and also is that it would be a no if they did not like it was my own fault due to haveing so many children witch i think is wrong as every women has a right to have children it is not women' s fault that we get so big as i did not eat that much when i was pg . well i think i am just a little low but i hope i do get funding as they are the only two thing's against me . also the ps said i have a very high belly button witch mean's if i want to get rid of all strech mark's i will have a high scar if i had it done but if i have it done like it is done will be left with some strech mark's and a little t fold near my scar with dose not bother me at all really i just want the skin gone as it really hurt's when i catch it . oh well we will see what happen's . so keep everything crossed xxxxxxxxxx:sigh:

God i really hate the waiting game i really want to know how long do's this pct take to say yes or no aaaaa i am one of those ppl that hate's to wait lol oh well i think i have to lol thing is my kid's keep saying to me when they come home from school do you have your new tummy yet mummy .bless them so i say no and then they say poor mummy lol kid's bless them . not to well at mine got the husband's cold well he said it was man flu but now it is bird flu . he is just like the kid's come out with the sillyest thing's lol.

just got letter from my gp and it say's that the suffolk pct would like more info ffrom my gp so i have got to go back and see them so at the min it is not a no and not a yes . so i hope that after they get the info i will get fundding well i hope i get my tt . got an apointment for monday morning so figer's crossed .

got the funding for my tummy tuck just got to let them know that i still want it and then i will be on the waiting list
