appointment at salford

I have an appointment with dr ammoris team next week but when i phone the hospital i have a few appointments and i would be seeing the nurse etc on the same day. Does anyone why it is x

hi its called the one stop shop at salford, its where you see everyone in the same day so in the next few months your get your date it speeds things up for you, theres no need to worry about it like i did, you have a group of people wanting the sleeve or the bypass so people who know how your feeling and you have a group chat with the nurse etc then your see the medical doctor then prof ammori who by the well is lovely, i had my sleeve done by him on the 5th of june 2013

Is the one stop shop part of your pre op x

i had my op done on the 5th of june 2013 so i think im 13 weeks on wednesday, i had my pre op done at the same time well same day just had to go back to see the Anaesthetis sorry spelling on other day but it was good to know that i would have my op within 3 months as thats how long the pre op lasts for

Hello Sezzers. I'm with Dr Ammori's team at Salford. I went through the one stop shop. Then had to go back for my pre-op. That was nearly 7 weeks ago and I still haven't had a date for my op.

It was about 2-3 weeks. Not long. After my pre op had had to see the cardiologist and the anaesthetist..............and still no op date. The waiting is killing me.

I phoned Salford this morning........ So disappointed. Will have to wait till early November before I get my op. Can't believe it. Have had my pre-op weeks ago. . :-(

Or i am sorry i would be really disappointed to but on the bright side you are only a couple of months away it is coming. Did they say why x

Waiting for the go ahead from the cardiologist............I can't see me having it. I thought it was too good to be true getting the funding in the first place.

i had to get the ok first from the cardiologist had to have a stress ecgo scan done first wait for the results and then phone salford to give them the results which was the ok then i got my date over the phone never been so happy apart from being pregnant, good luck with your ops

How long did it take to get your results from the cardiologist. Are you pregnant now x

it only tuck 3 weeks to get my results and no not pregnant yet not trying just yet as i only had my op in june this year

I have been for my one stop appointment today and been put on the waiting list and signed consent forms. I have to go back next week for my pre op and hopefully it wont be much longer x

thats great news, not too long now your op date will be herebefore you know it
