Aproved for April

Hello all, trying this one more time before getting frustrated! 9/9/02 is my anniversary date. And yes I'd do it all over again even the nose tube!

Say bye bye to your fingernails :)

Try and start sipping water in little bits and try and get used to a lot of fluids.

Any advice from your surgeon?

No matter what anyone says,it's a matter of getting your mind right. So it's now to start that. It's true they may be exaggerating the extended time to cover all the bases. It will be a God send when it comes time and you can begin your new life. I know when I had my surgery,it was hard and easy all at once.when you see the first pounds drop off you are encouraged.always do everything your Doctor tells you,it's very important to success.

Words of wisdom from me:

1. Don't be surprised if you don't leave the hospital thin, it's not an overnight thing... (think my kids were surprised when i came back still fat lol).

2. Listen to your body - best advice i can think of

3. Listen to your surgeon and all the health professionals involved in your care....

4. Dedicate the next two months researching all you could possibly want/need to know on this and other sites.

5. Try and enjoy every step of your journey, take pictures of yourself before surgery and measure yourself (something i didn't do grr).

6. Your life will change, for the better. Get ready to enjoy climbing the stairs and walking...

Good luck xx
