Hi there,
I had mine done there last October by Mr Horner, he has retired now and I am not sure of the new guys name. Mr Horner would not just let anyone take over the work he acheived, so the new guy is very good too. Just wish I could remember his name.
Mr Horner was a lovely man, he does private still at the Runnymede (connected to St Peter's)
Ashford is where they do the op, they were great. I was in and out the same day.
They have a very good cleanliness record with zero MRSA, which was very reassuring.
If this is one of your options, it's a good one. the team that work in the aftercare are amazing, they had amazing dedication and admiration for the work Mr Horner did there.

Ashford is NHS, if you have been referred and you fit all the criteria, you should get in on NHS.
I don't think your doc would have referred you if he didn't thnk there was a chance of the surgery, so the only advice I can give is chase your funding yourself and keep pestering everyone in the chain.
From my referral to my op took 6 months...

I thought it strange too.
When my Dr told me I had funding but the hospital was in Ashford I was so happy I didn't think to question it.
