AUSTRALIA

Hi princess, I am not sure, you might be our furthest away member! I think the majority are from the UK although we do have folks from all over. But we are all the same, with the same goal. It is just some of the 'getting there' process will be different in the different countries.

The Americans seem to have a quicker time, IF they get their insurance companies to agree to fund the op. The ones of us who go down the UK NHS route seem to have quite a long wait, and I fear it will get longer with the lack of funding, and more and more people wanting the life changing surgery.

But Welcome Australia !!!!!!

I know of at least one, he is in Sydney I think & uses the name Travellingman. Chin up honey, you are not alone x :)

Oh I didn't know Travelling man was in Australia. I knew he went to the Far East travelling, but just thought it was from the UK LOL. Teach me to be more nosy!

Errrrm with foot in mouth YEP! :D

Now retreats to bed with tail between legs

Does it matter that we are not in Australia? I know that there's a lapse with timing but we are all here to help each other, and the joy of the internet is that it doesn't matter where you are. I'm so glad that your other post ended up with lots of comments and suggestions, hopefully you will be able to work through some of them. Please, please don't just go backwards - no-one ever thinks this will be an easy process, but the benefits are indisputable. It might be worth searching out a couple of US sites, as they tend to have a higher number of long-term members who are several years post-bypass and it might help you to talk to them.

From what you say, it does sound like your body is reacting to fatty foods (orange poo, sorry;)) so it might be worth throwing out all you've got in so far, and re-starting from liquids again. This will let your pouch rest a little and recover - it sounds like you might be dumping all the time so no wonder you are feeling so wretched. (((Hugs)) Hope we can help you to feel a bit better soon.

Travellingman is definitely from Sydney.
But as Minxie says, this is the World Wide Web & we rarely get to meet each other in person, so where we are does not really matter. I am a pre op'er so cannot give much in the way of advice but I know lots of post op'ers who have been in a similar position to you & with good advise from people on here, have come out the other side. You will continue to get replies as people read your posts so don't give up on us ... we are all here for you xx :)

One of our members moved back to oz a year or so post op, think it was Erin? Username wobbles? Might be wrong on that point though.
