Hello..... Nothing WLS orientated. Just wondered if there is any super mums or dads on here?

My 8 year old daughter has ASD. She keeps on asking why my belly is still here lol. Think she expected me to come out of hospital thin. Ahhhh the literal mind. Didn't help that I told her I was going to have an operation that will make me thin lol.

I have an 11 year old with social and communication problems, and anxiety. He doesn't recall that mummy used to be fat, he doesn't tend to notice visual things about people.

Best way that for you eh. Think jaden will always remember me being big bellied.

I have a 9 year old son with Aspergers and sensory deprivation. I couldn't tell him my op was anything big as he fixated on the idea of us all dying and leaving him on his own.

I asked him to speak to the Angels for me to make sure I will be ok. That seemed to stop him worrying too much :)

Hi to you super parents :)

Awww. It's funny how they become obsessive over silly things. Jaden has the biggest fear of pidgeons. Was really hard to do normal things with her but as she is growing older she is learning how to control most of her fears. Don't half know it when she has a meltdown though :/

Ugh the fears! All animals, insects, anything hot, the shower... Getting slightly better as he gets older. He catastrophises as well, he waits in the car while I take his little brother into nursery, if I'm gone longer than he deems appropriate, then obviously we have been taken hostage.

And the obsessions. Currently cars. Previous best was car insurance.

My boy is the same. If he phones me and I don't and I miss it he thinks something terrible has happened to me and will send me a text begging me to contact him and reminds me he is my son.

He is often very jumpy and thinks insects are on him.

He is lovely though. But can be difficult to get him
Not to worry over everything x

My boys obsession is what would seem normal WWE.

But it's not, as he know all the facts about it too, plays it with his figures all the time, and my 3 year old has to do it to the facts, or the 9 year old gets angry.

I can understand that, when I say my son is obsessed with cars, or when he was younger Thomas the tank engine, people say well that's normal. Except my son can look at a wheel hub and tell you what car it is, manufacturer details, top speed etc.

I totally here you!

My boy would talk along to films. He would have only had to watch them once or twice. In other ways, he finds it hard to retain info. But if it interests him he is like a sponge x

Jadens thing is actors and what film they have been in. She loves IMBD.
