Hi

I just wanted to know if anyone on here has an autoimmune condition i.e. AS, Lupus etc and has WLS.

How was the medication after? Have you had any complications with medication etc. deficiencies after pre op.

I have Iga deficiency. Not as serious as AS or lupus. No probs with meds, but my wounds did take longer to heal and the largest one got infected. That was about it really

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, which is a autoimmune. But my Reumatologist, Lympedema specialist and the WLS team all say its for the best.
Just have to wait and see about my tablets for Rheumatoid, also I have a 7 day Morphine patch on which will be ok to keep.
I have asked about the deficiencies, and they said "They wouldn't do the operation if it wasn't safe"
