;) Just got back home from my surgery :) so happy :)

will soon post my thoughts on experience but still with some pain so need rest.

One thing for sure: tiny tiny tiny puree food portions and I'm not hungry :) how brilliant :D

Not saying easy journey and now need to programme food schedules, portions, vitamins, minerals, injections, rest etc but really really really looking forward very positevely.

If anyone has 'just got home' suggestions, let me know please :)

c u all tomorrow

Glad it all went well Rhj. I look forward to reading all about it. :)

So pleased to hear it went well. Please take good care of yourself.

If I remember correctly, the only thing I wanted when I just got home was drugs!!

Rest, rest, rest.

Hi rhj
As I recall all I did when I got home after my op was sleep cos I couldn't sleep in the hospital! A week and a half later...I'm still not hungry but eat regularly anyway - sloppy etc. Doing the injections was the hardest thing for me. But I have lost 25 pounds in a month so its all been worth it. Best advice I can give? Listen to your body. Best of luck.

Thanks everyone :)

Have been sipping and sipping my half cuppas but still away from 2lts a day :( Have been feeling some post op nausea and bitter sweet taste on mouth which makes me not stand to even think about drinking water or taking paracetamol :( how wonderful

sleeping is still irregular because of some pain and no steady position but, had a nice rest after dinner and keeping my feet up on sofa. Kids and hubbie in charge of kitchen, cooking and cleaning :)

Gave myself the first injection today and it wasn't bad but it also was not good and it was weird.

if feeling more active tomorrow will post experience diary.

Meanwhile...lost 7 kg :) in 12 days :)

Hi, almost all I did for the first few days after my op was sleep. I couldn't sleep in the hospital either and I found the best position for me to sleep in was propped upright on the sofa. I couldn't lie down as it hurt too much. In fact I didn't sleep in a bed for the first 2 weeks!

I found sugar free mints (as long as you suck them only!! No crunching!) were fantastic for that horrible taste in my mouth as were Sula sugar free sweets which you can get from Holland and Barrett. The mints also helped me to drink more fluids as I seem to be able to drink water with a minty taste in my mouth! lol

Anyway hope some of that helps and rest rest rest is all I can add to that. Best of luck. xx
