well i got home from the hospital yesterday afternoon looking for some proper sleep ...........got at 4 i shuffled around for an hour then got my head down for 3 hours thinking wheres the nurse :D:D:D

anyways i was 143 kg before the milk diet and 131.2kg per op on tuesday left the hospital weighing 132.6 kg a touch heavier than when i went in

anyways i went in tuesday only to be pulled to one side by mr jambalingam (my bypass surgeon) said that mr chawla (my ent surgeon) was in surgery that morning so he could do my ear grommet at the same time ...........two birds which the same stone

welcome home Joffy! what a touch killing two birds with one stone! woohoo good luck with it all and i look forward to seeing your progress :) xxx

Hi Joffy
Great to hear your back online, must be a relief to have both done at once, no need for another anaesthetic. I was there Tuesday (L&D) and must admit to wondering how you were getting on. More detail please when you feel up to it.

Welcome Back, Joffy ... Glad it all went smoothly for you & you got a result with your grommet (was Wallace there too?). hope everything goes well from now on for you xx :D:D

so glad ya back! ,,,and that its all done and dusted, ,,hope your doing ok and being good ,, and not missing the nurses to much!,xxxx

Good to see you back home, hope you have a speedy recovery and are soon on your way to that fantastic new you :)

I've got a wisdom tooth that needs to come out and a little mole on my face....do you think they may get a team in for me too!! I wish LOL!!

just have to get used to taking more drinks on board during the day (not including the milk in on that) ................well on the insulin front i stopped taking my fast acting novorapid with my meals and cut right back on my humulin i (night time bolus) before my op and during my 4day 3 night stay at the l&d i had no insulin administered my sugars got as high as 9.8 but the diabetes team were'nt concerned as they expected them to be over double that so no more insulin metformin and piaglitazone(for the time being but the metformin might be re-added after my visit to the diabetes specialist in october)

blood pressure never rose above 125/70 which i'm happy with too but i have to talk with my gp about cutting back on those meds in the future

so its all positives so far and i've managed 2 poos since being back home :D:D:D:D much relief

atb jonathan
