Back to Work

Oh My Goodness....had my gastric bypass on 20th July and tommorrow is my first day back at work since. I am absolutely dreading it. Everyone at work knows all about it and they have said that I can take breaks if I need to but I just feel so lethargic all the time.
I know that I need to get back into the swing of things again and besides I need to be earning so I can go shopping to buy all the new clothes I will need in the coming months.
Oh well roll on tommorrow morning. xx

Good luck tomorrow - don't be afraid to ask for breaks and, as already said, if you need more time ask for a phased return to work. Remember your GP can fill in a fit note to include reasonable adjustments to aid your return to work, including shorter hours, light duties and extended breaks!!

Good luck, Michelle. Is there a reason why you are lethargic? Are your bloods OK. If they are it may be that you do just need to get back into a work routine, & given how much you have lost, just wait for the compliments to start flowing.

Hope you day wasn't too bad.I had my op on the 10 Aug and going back to work this Thursday,to be honest I'm looking forward to it as I find to stay at home quite boring.

Thnak you all for your lovely messages of support. Today was fine and it now feels like I have never been away. Managed with the eating and drinking okay and didn't feel too tierd. So pleased to have gone back now I have done it and it was lovely receiving all the lovely complements about my change of body shape already.

hope things went well, have you had b12 injection yet if not that may be why your so tired, get them to check your blood, i had my op done by keith also, he is such a caring doc but most of all an excellent surgeon xxxx
