Looking forward to my op on the 15 Aug. I went to Dolan Park on Saturday and met a lovely lady who was three years post op. it was great talking to her and hearing her experiences. Just can't quite believe that I will lose weight and hopefully keep it off this time. Feels a bit surreal.

I have to confess, against all advice I weigh myself a couple of times a day. And virtually every time I expect it to show my pre-op weight. Obviously it doesn't and every time I have that 'is this for real?' feeling.

Good luck on your journey xx

good luck, I've had my band since August of last year and it has changed my life, it isn't an easy answer, but its a great weight loss tool if you are prepared to do a lot of hard work working with the band and with what and how you eat.

Best of luck. The band really does help, but its not 100 % the answer. You are the one ultimately in control of what is popped in your mouth ... All I can say though is like tk ... If you are prepared to work with it, rather than rely on it ... Its FANTASTIC. I love my band. Had it fitted over two years ago at Dolan Park by mr super. 11 stones down and successfully maintaining at a size 12 rather than 26 ... I REALLY LOVE my band.

GOOD LUCK :)

Not long now hun, how are you feeling? Are you all ready to take this step :)

Hi Sally, how are you getting on? Are you feeling excited yet? I was banded yesterday and it all went really well - I hope yours goes just as smoothly x

Yes, I do feel excited but also nervous. It's all I can think about!
I am at a music festival at the moment surrounded by food! But I am keeping to my low fat diet really well.
Keep thinking that hopefully this time next year I will be a lot slimmer , that makes me feel very excited. I know it will be life changing and a big change but I am ready for it.
I really want to feel healthier and slimmer, can't wait now. Only 5 days to go!!!
Thanks everyone for all your support. You are an inspiration :) x

What an achievement. You are an inspiration. I know that the band is only a tool and you have to work really hard. I am willing to put the hard work in as I feel this is my last chance.
If I could lose half of that I would be happy.
I will let you know my progress as its happening in 5 days. :) x

Hi There
I have had some problems with my membership and password on this site so my username has now changed. I was sallyjamieson.
I have has my band fitted now on the 15.8.13 and although I felt particularly rough for the first couple of days, I am starting to feel normal again now, 7 days after op! how time flies!

You truly are an inspiration to me because you are the same height as me and your heaviest was also my heaviest. I am now 18.2 which is lower than I have been in years.

onwards and upwards!! :)

Welcome back :D your 12st goal was my goal, and look where I am now....you can achieve your goal too if you work with your tool. I am not perfect, but I am far better behaved than I was LOL ... Enjoy your journey, and set yourself some mini goals along the way, because not every week is a losing week necessarily, and sometimes its the other non-scale achievements that keep us focussed xxx

ive been away on holiday, it's good to hear your surgery went well...how are you doing now? How you getting on?
