Band removal

Hi I am looking to have my band removed as it is causing really bad reflux and pain but can't find any websites that do removals and prices? Any info would be greatly received.

According to THG, they charge £5k for band removal:

I'm in Northampton I have been to the doctors and he has told me to email a Nhs surgeon to see if he would take it out and then my doctor will refer me on Nhs but not sure I would get the funding!

I paid about £1000 to get my band taken out at the same time as upgrading to bypass.

Could you not have it adjusted take some saline out..Hope that's not naive Im just wondering :/

I've not had a fill for 7 years so I didn't think there was any fluid let so I think something has gone wrong but it's getting some one to listen and help just want it out to be honest as it's been the worse thing I ever done I paid privately so Nhs don't want to help and can't afford to go private again x

I've lost 10 stone but by myself really as my band slipped 9 years ago and I have never had a fill to scared it would slip again as I was in intensive care and nearly died, that's why everyone that considers having the band should do lots of research as it isn't as great as people make out as you don't hear the horror stories not that I want to scare anyone but I've gone through hell with mine and it cost me £12000 back then x
