Hi,

I was recommended to go onto my Weight loss surgery group forum, streamline. I have done this sometime ago and wrote a little note to intro me and stuff and almost three weeks on still not had a response from anyone. wrote on again today and nothing..

Now I know I am in the South and some people are not always friendly, (I say some) but I hoped I would get some feedback as desperatly wanted to meet someone near to me who was using the same surgeons etc but disapointed.

So I just want to thank all the peeps on here that have been so informative and kind and responsive.

Keep being up and down about it all and Op date for Band is the 1st Sept and at the moment. Really scared..

Hi there looks like we are both starting our journey together. What sort of concerns do you have? I've been reading lots of threads an most of them answer my questions however would be nice to have a band friend I have about 5 stone to lose. I just keep imaging my self next year and how much healthier and better I will feel about my self. Good luck to us both xx

Fab, I have had the same experience with the board from my provider too.

I posted up an intro and although a couple of people briefly replied, someone else new posted on it and then everyone replied to that persons message and it was as if my opening post and only 2 above it was completely not there . . .

At lots of times during life, I've felt invisible, I certainly did at that point too. Not even the other person who posted on my thread actually responded to the post, they just added onto the thread . . .this place is so different and I for one, am glad that I've found it too

I know we aren't sharing the same place/surgeons, but we are only a week apart from each other in dates, if you'd like a band friend, I'd love one too
