I need to get a blender for purée stage - can anyone recommend one?

I just used the value stick blender from Tesco. My mother lent me a more expensive one but it just kept gunking up. x

Sainsbury's basics stick blender was fine. Don't buy asda smartprice though, I got through 2 before I bought sainbury's!!

I have the most fantastic blender / chopper ever. It's not too expensive but it purees food, grinds raw meat, chopped vegies etc.
Best thing is you can grind ice - not just crush it and make in into snow which makes the most fabulous frappes.

I just use the hand held one from argos for a fiver has done me proud the last few weeks and will be my friend for another 3 weeks 6 weeks puree come at is x

Defo a handheld as I found the tiny amounts I was pureeing didn't even reach the blades in my blender x
