Blenders working overtime.

Well it’s a week since my by-pass now and I’ve been blending like a mad man. Stared out with scrambled eggs, ok but not to tasty in purée so I added a little lean gammon Mmmmm bacon and eggs. I reduced a few stews and big soup tastes nice. The blender struggled a bit with smoked salmon and low fat cream cheese with a pinch of salt and pepped, (Not too much smoke though) But the results where worth it.
Now in a couple of weeks with luck and a fair wind I’ll be on soft solids. So I’m thinking ahead and Christmas dinner. So I need all you oldies who had your op before last Christmas to check back and let me know were I can get a blender that will take a twenty six pound turkey?

You are doing really Well Al, lucky to be on purees so soon......I had 3 weeks of liquids before puree Not pleasant! Good Luck on finding the blender for your Christmas dinner xx

I forgot to tell you why I need the blender. I thought I would strip off all the meat reduce it to pulp and stick it back on the carcase using a combination of Papua mashie and origami techniques hence creating what effectively would be a 26 pound turkey dipper. This will enable all the family to eat the same. Do you think they will bye in??

I was eating yogurt the day after and puree on day 3. But from what i read on here you take the steps as you can not by any hard and fast rule. Trust me your belly will tell you if its not time yet. Hope this helps.

very funny post Al and I dont think you will need to be worrying about a larger turkey. I had my first op in November so was just on solids for christmas week and just had a tiny plate of xmas dinner so I didnt feel left out and I was stuffed like a 24lb turkey I can tell you couldnt even manage any christmas pud it was fab so hopefully you will have the same experience and not feel left out as you have had some. Keep up the good work
