Does anyone else have a BMI of 35 and successfully got a band through the nhs? Im having blood tests Thursday to check thyroid and fasting bloods and have ongoing joint pain but just wondering what chance i have of getting the band if the blood tests come back clear. My doc has already refered me so down to hospital.xx

Without the co morbidities it's gonna be a no... Unless you live in an exceptional pct area!

Thanks for replying. Wat exactly are co morbidities? Does it mean secondary illnesses or life threatening secondary illnesses?xx

Yes it does so if you get a clean bill of health you'll struggle x

I've had a lot of health problems in the last two years but nothing been properly diagnosed. I've managed to lose at lot of weight so many times in my life but never manage to maintain it. Hoping they will see the bigger picture. Fingers crossed.. U look great by the way!xx

Hi eve could i ask at what age ur parents became diabetic? My dad is but he didn't get it til his late 60's. My granddad had it too from a younger man and he ended up in a terrible state with limbs amputated, so sad.

What I did forget was that i was diagnosed with fatty liver last year, but I have lost weight since then so not sure if its reversible.xx
