When did you girls start wearing your bra's again after surgery?. I have worn mine but find it still quite uncomfortable.

I had bypass surgery and i wore my bra on the third day post op. it was a soft cotton bra without any padding or underwiring.. and it was fine. I just kept the dressing on a bit longer to avoid rubbing the wound which was there.

i wore mine straight after surgery....if you find it uncomfortable try a light sports type bra

Hi im a very big girl! I had to wear a bra next day after op as they would have rested on my knees and are so so heavy ! Due to having to mobilize my self it wouldn't have looked good walking down the ward!! Pre op i went to our local market and brought some of those extra soft support bras in biggest size i could find! Wasn't a perfect fit but helped keep them in with a bit of support with out wires etc . I just removed the padding! Like llora said i kept the dressing on the wound a bit so i had no rubbing.

I wore a kind of sports support top for a few days post op just because the seam rested on my top cut.

I bought a few non wired bras, the swelling has gone down almost now so I am going to try a normal one tomorrow and see how I go.

Oh god! I had not thought of this!! I am very large chested and only wear under wired!!! I get banded tomorrow so off to look for non wired ones
