Bypass operation time?

Hi al can someone please let me know the time scale of the operation please for a bypass?

Hi Alison, I was referred ny GP to SRH in July 2009, I had my seminar 30th Sept 2009, then seen dietician and Nurse Feb 2010, then seen Surgeon Sept 2010, had endoscopy 9th Nov 2010 got put on list then and I am having my bypass on Friday 20th May.

Once you're on the list its about 6 months but it is 18 months to 2 years all together,

Hi Alison, I same time scale as Karen almost date for date so this is pretty much the rule for SRH. Keep your chin up good luck for your journey Good things come to those who wait !!

Hi Alison

I think it's approx. up to 2 hours for open and up to 4 hours for laproscopic but I don't know for sure x

Hi Hun . . . for me it was all done and dusted in couple of months. The operation time was about 2 1/2 hours xx
