Hi there i have just been told that walsall pct are only funding wls for ppl who have diabetes does anyone know if this is the case??????

Tinkerboom i don't think is the case. xxsarahxx is a walsall funded patient and she has sleep apnoea and after doing w/management is on the list for surgery.

Do you have any comorbidity's to support your need for surgery?

hi there i was told 1 of the 4 co-morbs was sleep apnea ( i have never been tested for) high blood pressure ( which i have been suffering from but with no meds) diabetes( which i dont have) and dyslipidemia. i have gestational reflux and severe pain in my bk , hips and knees so not sure how i wouls stand for the criteria xx

Well first thing i would do if i was you would be to research sleep apnoea and find out if any of it sounds familiar...

Then i'd be going the gp for my high blood pressure and asking for some medication to get it down, lie if you have too and tell him you get headaches etc.....

As for the other, i'm sure it must support your case. I hope it does, good luck xx

I do my weight management with walsall heartcare there i have to go to there gym 2 times a week there are doctors there and at start every session take my b/p they was concerned about the readings i was getting etc and the headaches , i even ended up them giving me an e.c.g the one time they told me see my gp which i did , he just basically shrugged his shoulders told me yes i have had a few high readings but hes not really concerned and said will monitor me monthly, but my g,p is a waste of time hun tbh.
