Have had exceptionally thick hair all my life (it's like an unruly privet hedge on top of my head) so to have it thinned out a bit is ace!

Normally, my hairdresser has to use thinning scissors all over, but not today feels great! Now I just need to work out how to get it to stay like this, no better and no worse

Shel, i hope your hair stays just as it is and you don't lose more. i suppose there can be advantages to hair loss eh!!! mine too was really thick but it is now very thin and i'm stressing that if it continues i might end up bald (promise not to mention Ross Kemp)!! here's to cheaper haircuts for you hun xx

On the positive side, you could always go bald and just by a load of wigs, imagine you could have a different one for every day of the week, just like Lex Luthor

Linda - Its not a problem if you follow the vitamin supplimentary requirements your consultant with tell you to......take your zinc and your hair will be fine

I am taking zinc and selanaise both of which are supposed to prevent the hair loss!! IT's NOT WORKING AT ALL!!!!!!! i am spot on with my vitamin suppliments and it's not making a blind bit of difference. the consultant has said that it won't stop hair loss but should make regrowth better. sorry Linda but the fact is it is a side affect of the op for some people and it seems more common than i thought

I hope you find something soon to halt the loss, I dont think anything is without its side affects fingers crossed it does not last long and when your body starts to recover the hair grows back. Have you asked anyone that is a few years post op how their hair was? Just I thought....Linda x
