Hi All
I've been away for such a long time since my surgery back in September 2009, will you all please take me back? thought i could do it on my own but how wrong was i!!! I've not done as well as anticipated, not had the support from my provider and literally fell apart. I had my 3rd band fill on thursday and this time i am feeling alot more positive about it all, i've not felt well at all since the band fill, due to not being able to drink as much and getting dehydrated and having terrible headaches and feeling shaky, today though i have got up and i managed half a scrambled egg, and at lunchtime i had a slimfast shake as was out at football over lunchtime and this evening i've managed 5 teaspoons of weight watchers shepherds pie and gravy and i couldnt have anymore ( it was quite liquidy ) i've lost 10lb in weight since thursday and really want my weight loss to continue but i know it is going to slow down, is there any advice ( yes i know i should know it by now ) that anyone can give me of tips to eat which are going to help me, i am at a loss with it all, like i said my provider has been crap with me and when i have called them ive had to wait 2 weeks for a dietician to call me back to discuss my problem, this is not good enough in my eyes, so any help i'd glady appreciate, and i am sorry i have been away for so long but i just buried my head in the sand.... New band fill New start X

Have a look at the above. Some useful stuff in there.

Please try and keep your fluids up even if it were some fluids ever half an hour.

Your band does sound tight though ... not being able to even take fluids isn't a good sign. How much fluid do you have in?

Hiya Cah-ching

I am ok with fluids now if i dont gulp and take tiny sips, each day is getting better, I supposedly had 7.5mls in my band before i went for my band fill on thursday ( i had my last fill in april ) and when i went in for my appointment the guy said that no wonder i had been struggling and asked me why i hadnt been before now for a band fill, i said because the dieticians WHEN i finally got to speak to someone wouldnt allow me to have another band fill ( i had to beg for the one i have just had ) he said well i dont know what happened to your last fill but there was no pouch at all and nothing in your band and also your gullet isnt right either ( whatever that ment ) i didnt question anything ( which now i know i should of done ) because i was too nervous about having it done again after the experience i had back in April, the guy back in April did the fill blind and i told him he was nowhere near my port so he was moving the needle round inside my body to get to what he thought was my port ( i dont think it was ) as i had no restriction what so ever after that band fill, but on the plus side i only put on 2lb between April and last thursday which i am pleased about... Anyway the guy on thursday said he put an extra 2.6ml's in and i went to sit outside to drink my drink and it was sitting at the bottom of my throat and taking ages to go down so i went back in and he took .8mls out, so i dont know how much i have in my band now as he was saying there was nothing in my band before he filled it and then put in 2.6 and took out .8 so i am really confused, I am still not feeling hungry at all, I will read through the link you posted for me to look at so thank you for that, but can i ask how many calories a day are we suppose to be having to achieve a healthy weight loss, when i have rang the dieticians before to ask them this i get told different everytime, some say 1200, some say 1000 and 1 has even said 600 to me, again i am confused.com. Thank you so much cha-ching very helpful x

Welcome back sweetie! We have missed you. I am so sorry you have had such a hard time with the hospital and the team there. I hope this fill does the trick and just know we are here for you.
