Mum did me a wonderful scrambled egg this morning. 7 days from op and still can't eat it all

I like this life so far :D

Same here, Candie - Mixman, did your team give you a 6 week plan for getting back to eating solids?

Yes, they did, I got quite a large informative bundle of dietry sheets!

Everything at the moment still has to be creamed/runny/sloppy etc and for the next 2 weeks or so. The egg had some philadelphia light cheese melted in and mushed in the microwave. It was heaven but I just couldn't eat it all.

She has also done my tiny shepherds pies. Really mashed down the mince and potatos with gravy and they have been great. Although, again, too much.

The most I have had is a 120g muller light smooth yoghurt, because of it's taste and consistency, is just enough!

Mixman...Congrats on having your op and good hearing your experiences post op....I'm due in THIS fri for my by-pass and will hopefully be able to say "I know wot you mean"....

I can't wait until I can say I am full on such a small amount. Well done and good luck with the rest of your journey.

Mmmmm Muller light yoghurt! Will get some in the fridge for Sunday - hopefully, the day I'll home from hospital! Isn't that amazing that's all it takes to fill you up! Your Mum sounds like the perfect nurse!

In all fairness, she's been fantastic, but the person to have if you ever need not to over-do anything? My DAD!!!!

He's been the softest, most worrying person ever. "Don't do that, I'll get it" "Come on I'll take you for a walk round the garden again" "Can I get you anything?" etc etc

I am blessed with parents so young in age as well, I am 38, my parents are both 56, and I have a 40 year old brother :D
